Tweed Vibrolux Tweed Bassman Meets
This is an amp that never was, but could have been. It
combines features of two late 1950's Fender tweed amplifiers, the
5F11 Vibrolux and 5F6(A) Bassman. The circuit is based on the
Vibrolux. But the power supply is more robust, the output is
significantly increased, and the gain characteristics are altered.
The cabinet is all Bassman, complete with four light and fast 10"
speakers. The result is an amp that retains the basic 5F11 voice,
while giving it a little more crunch and a lot more authority.
